Update 10:45 p.m.

With results from all Montgomery County precincts counted, incumbent David Hill has been reelected to serve another term as constable in Precinct 5. Hill received 63 percent of the 6,771 total votes.

"I think the community voiced their desire for me to stay and work some more," Hill said. "I have a different philosophy than the other candidates and I think this shows it was more in line with what the community wants."

Hill was trailed by Johnny Carroll with 22.8 percent of the vote and Brian Clack, who won 14.2 percent. All voting totals at this point in the election process are unofficial.

Hill said he plans to continue to run the constable's office as he was leading up to the election, which includes taking care of the civil process as a primary job and responding to the needs of the community.

"The first thing I want to do is get back out there and get in contact with the community, get back in gear," he said. "I believe God called me to be a police officer and I'm trying to do what he wants me to."

Hill has served as constable in Precinct 5 since he was elected in 1983.
