Construction has begun on a project to expand Plum Grove Road near the Grand Parkway in New Caney, officials announced in an Aug. 13 news release.

About the project

According to the release, the project will widen Plum Grove Road from two to four lanes from the Grand Parkway to about one-third of a mile north to the primary entrance to The Trails, a new community by Castle Hill Partners. The project will also include the installation of traffic signals, the addition of a dedicated turn lane and landscaping.

The project is expected to take 12-18 months to complete, per the release.
