Feb. 25: West African Film Festival Screening: “El Maestro”

"El Maestro" will screen outside at the Menil Collection in conjunction with the West African Film Festival of Houston. The French-language documentary film tells the story of Afro-Cuban singer Laba Sosseh, born and raised in West African country The Gambia. "El Maestro" is presented as part of the 2022 West African Film Festival. Feb. 26: Outrun Hunger 5K and 10K

A fundraising 5K and 10K will be held by the Montgomery County Food Bank to benefit its programs for children, seniors and families in need of food assistance. Feb. 26: Houston’s Livestock and Rodeo Parade

Celebrate the start of the 90th anniversary of Houston’s Livestock and Rodeo with a parade that takes place Feb. 26.
