In the indoor gaming space, teams of two to five people can choose from hundreds of games and difficulty levels. All games incorporate technology, and wristband tracks participants’ scores throughout the games. Games include Megagrid, Hoops, Push, Hide, Laser, Trench, Pipes and Climb.
“We are excited to be opening our Houston location in late 2023 as we continue expanding Activate across the U.S.,” Activate Games owner Bryce Anderson said in the release. “We’re thrilled to be joining the Houston community, and we’re hoping to become a staple place where friends and family can gather to enjoy a unique experience that can’t be found anywhere else.”
The games have been designed for adults, but children age 10 and younger can participate if an adult is in the games. Adults must remain at the facility for children ages 11-13, an Activate Games spokesperson said via email.
This is Activate Games’ second Texas location, with the first scheduled to open in Dallas in April, the spokesperson said. The company has two other locations in Kentucky and one in Tennessee, with more set to open in 2023. www.activate.games
