Unofficial results from recent updates from Fort Bend County still show Daryl Smith, Ali Sheikani and Marshall Slot leading their respective races for County Constable Precinct 2, County Constable Precinct 3 and Fort Bend County Sheriff.

A total of 338,377 ballots have been cast, according to Fort Bend County.

Unofficial results from the first round of ballots posted by Fort Bend County show Daryl Smith, Ali Sheikani and Marshall Slot leading their respective races for County Constable Precinct 2, County Constable Precinct 3 and Fort Bend County Sheriff.


What you need to know

Robert Hartfield and Smith are vying for Constable of Precinct 2, and Sheikani and Nabil Shike are vying for Precinct 3.

Slot and Eric Fagan are facing off for Fort Bend County Sheriff.

As of 7:30 p.m., Smith leads Hartfield with 60.46% of the vote for Constable Precinct 2, and Sheikani leads Shire with 52.29% of the vote for Constable of Precinct 3.


Slot holds a narrow lead ahead of Fagan with 50.27% of the vote for Fort Bend County Sheriff.

Meet the candidates

Slot, running as a Republican, said his priority is to restore trust within the Fort Bend County Sheriff's Office by appointing a servant leadership-driven command staff.

Fagan, running as a Democrat, said his priorities would be to continue the crime reduction unit, gang and narcotics operations and to increase school safety.
