Why did you choose to run for this position?
I chose to run for Fort Bend County Commissioner, Precinct 4 because our community deserves leadership that listens, is accountable and puts people first. My background in political science, legal studies, and public service prepares me to champion responsible growth, public safety, infrastructure, transparency and the rule of law.
What are your qualifications for why you’d be a strong candidate in this role?
I am a strong candidate because I bring education, professional experience and a commitment to public service. With a Bachelor’s degree in political science emphasizing legal studies and experience as a paralegal, I bring research, problem-solving and legal skills. I believe in transparency, accountability, integrity and serving Precinct 4.
What is your top priority if elected to represent the citizens of Fort Bend County?
My top priority is ensuring Fort Bend County grows responsibly while protecting our quality of life. I will focus on infrastructure, mobility, public safety, roads, responsible development and protecting taxpayer dollars. Above all, I will promote transparent, accountable government that listens to residents and puts the people first.
What do you think is the most pressing issue for Fort Bend County, and what will you do to address it?
The key challenge in Fort Bend County is managing rapid growth while maintaining infrastructure and services. I will advocate for responsible planning, investment, coordination, and transparency to ensure roads, drainage, transportation and public safety improve alongside our communities’ development.
How do you plan to involve residents in the decision-making process?
Government works best when residents have a voice before decisions are made. I will hold community meetings, seek public input, communicate clearly and reach residents who may not attend traditional meetings. My goal is open communication, meaningful responses and ensuring every resident of Precinct 4 knows their voice matters.
How should the county prepare to address its fast-growing population?
Fort Bend County must plan proactively to manage growth and protect our infrastructure. I will advocate for responsible development, strategic investments in roads, drainage, safety, and regional coordination. Growth is inevitable, but with smart planning and transparency, we can ensure a thriving, resilient community.
