A new child care option with a focus on early education is coming to Katy and Spring.

The big picture

Amazing Explorers Academy is a child care facility geared for those up to age 4, which aims to incorporate science, technology, engineering, arts and math, or STEAM, curriculum enrichment programs into everyday care, Senior Director Daniela Gutierrez said in an email.

Gutierrez said enrichment programs include:
  • Spanish and sign language
  • Zen zones
  • Robotics and coding
  • STEAM education and project-based learning
Families can also opt into weekly programs which incorporate learning into cooking and sports, she said.

The academy also offers care for children kindergarten through fifth grade during school breaks, including teacher workdays and summer, Gutierrez said. Each week offers a different theme, and the new locations will offer in-house field trips such as animal experiences.
