Katy Beer Garden, a business located on the same property as the historic J.V. Cardiff & Sons Rice Dryer, soft opened in mid-June, founder and CEO Steven Salazar announced in an email.

The details

The beer garden features 100 beers on tap, a full cocktail bar, 20 taps for wines by the glass and wine bottles, Salazar said in a previous interview.

The indoor and outdoor venue also offers:
  • Rotating food trucks on-site
  • A bar menu featuring Bavarian pretzels
  • An outdoor stage for live entertainment
  • TVs
  • Games for patrons
Katy Beer Garden is open Mon.-Fri. from 3 p.m.-2 a.m. and Sat.-Sun. from noon-2 a.m., according to the website.

What's next

The garden will anchor The Dryer, a 3-acre development surrounding the rice dryer off Hwy. 90 in Katy. Upon completion, The Dryer project will transform the dryer into a museum and gift shop, and add a food hall adjacent to the beer garden, the developer previously said.
