Preview: Conroe ISD to hold special meeting on bonds and new teacher evaluation system

On Oct. 6, the Conroe ISD board of trustees will host a special public meeting to review the district's bond process and long-term program management plan and to approve the Texas Teacher Evaluation and Support System appraisers.

The gist

According to its website, T-TESS is a state-recommended appraisal system designed to support teacher growth through regular feedback and self-reflection. At the upcoming special meeting, the CISD board will vote to approve appraisers for the system, who will review the results and feedback to provide constructive criticism and improve district learning. 

CISD will also receive a presentation on the district's bond process and long-term program management plan. 

As previously reported, CISD approved various bond construction project contracts this past May. The presentation will address the district's current bond structure and the long-term goals for managing the bonds. 

The special meeting will be held in person on Oct. 6 at 5 p.m. at 3205 West Davis St. in Conroe and will be streamed on the official CISD YouTube page.
