Locally owned pet store Pet Evolution Katy is targeting a mid- to late-July opening, according to the owner.

The pet store will carry high-quality pet food free of artificial colors and sweeteners as well as offer full-service grooming, self-serve dog washes and a mobile nail trim service.

Self-service dog-washing stations will have handheld sprayers, natural shampoo, clean towels and blow dryers.

Pet Evolution Katy's mobile nail van began operations May 20. The mobile service stops at customers' homes to provide nail trims, nail filing, ear cleaning, gland expression and teeth brushing.
