Boorific Nights

On weekends through Oct. 29, visit Dewberry Farm for its spooky Boorific Nights. On these nights, its corn maze gets scary, and the farm is alight with the glow of hundreds of jack-o-lanterns. Life-size lanterns of horror characters decorate the grounds, while ax-throwing with Jason from Camp Crystal Lakes and a “Stranger Things” set photo op are just two of the featured activities.Zoo Boo 2023

Throughout October, guests visiting the Houston Zoo are encouraged to wear costumes as they enjoy fall festivities—such as animal-themed carved pumpkins, autumn-based photo ops, and a pumpkin lantern tunnel between the lion and tiger exhibits. On Fridays, the zoo stays open after hours for its spooky forest and dance parties.

Fall Plants and Crafts Sale

The Woodlands Garden Club is hosting its annual fall plants and crafts sale. Plants sold are grown by The Woodlands Garden Club, and members will be in attendance to answer questions. Plants start at $2. The event also features garden-inspired arts and crafts made by club members for holiday decor. Bridgeland Community Run/Walk for Heroes

The Klein Association for School Nutrition is hosting its second annual Fall Craft Fair, an indoor community event that supports local businesses. BBQ Bash for Brighter Futures

The group Communities in Schools hosts a festival that doubles as a fundraiser to support its mission of providing academic support, mental health services, family resources and individualized counseling at no cost to Houston-area students and families. The event will feature pumpkin decorating, cornhole, barbecue food and picnic foods from local restaurants, beer and wine, and live music.
