Friendswood ISD’s board of trustees will consider adopting the district’s budget and tax rate for fiscal year 2026-27 at its Aug. 24 workshop.
The district is also holding a public hearing during the workshop before consideration where residents may comment or ask questions about the budget, district documents show.
What you need to know
The district is proposing a tax rate of $1.0249 per $100 valuation of a home for FY 2026-27, as previously reported by Community Impact.
Based on that rate, a homeowner with a median homestead taxable value of $424,611 would have an estimated annual property tax bill of about $4,350, budget documents show.
The district is also proposing $70.4 million in both revenues and expenditures for FY 2026-27, resulting in a balanced budget, according to district documents.
