1. Shining Hearts Gala
Nonprofit BestBridgeToHeart is hosting its inaugural Shining Hearts Gala, a community arts event benefiting GiGi’s Playhouse Houston, which provides educational, therapeutic and career development programs for individuals with Down syndrome and their families.
2. Goats at the Arboretum
Goats from GoatScaping LLC will be at Houston’s Arboretum and Nature Center to clear invasive and overgrown understory vegetation to support biodiversity.
The goats will work across a 7-acre area in the northwest corner of the Arboretum, between the 610 Parking Loop, Ravine Trail and Event Lawn.
3. Blood Brothers
Visit the Charles Bender Performing Arts Center in Humble to watch the Blood Brothers, a blues-rock collaboration featuring guitarist Mike Zito and Albert Castiglia.
4. Harry Potter Drone Art Show
The show features 1,200 illuminated drones recreating characters and moments from the Harry Potter films.
Guests can enjoy food and drinks, and fans are encouraged to dress in their favorite Hogwarts house colors or Wizarding World attire.
5. Segura Western Wear Festival
Segura Fest returns to Pearland Town Center with live music, local vendors, food and Western-themed activities.
Guests can enjoy giveaways, including free tacos for the first 300 attendees and cowboy hats for the first 150 guests.
6. Hot Sauce Festival
The Grimes County Hot Sauce Festival, hosted by DeepRoots Vineyards and OMTAE Honey, returns with local vendors, live entertainment and plenty of spicy food.
7. Houston Shakespeare Festival
Houston Shakespeare Festival, the city’s annual summer tradition, returns for its 52nd season with a performance of "The Tempest" at Miller Outdoor Theatre.
8. Houston Horror Film Festival
The event features over 70 horror films, special celebrity appearances, exclusive Q&A panels, as well as a vendor hall with artists, filmmakers, authors and memorabilia dealers.
