More than two years later, Robinson is planning a grand opening celebration for May 14, and he said he is inviting a cohort of other Houston breweries to join in, all of whom opened around early 2020 or thereafter.
Robinson co-founded New Magnolia with John Ferguson as a family-friendly and dog-friendly hangout at 1616 Bevis St., Houston, offering a wide selection of craft beers on tap that are made at an on-site brewhouse. Award-winning brews include the Father Bernard’s Grodziskie—a Polish smoked beer—the Heights Light Lager and the Czech Amber Lager.
The grand opening party will run from 11 a.m.-8 p.m. May 14 and will be marked by several special releases and collaborations from the following breweries: Paradigm Brewing, True Anomaly Brewing, Fass Brewing, Elder Son Brewing, Frost Town Brewing and Vallensons’ Brewing, plus one cidery in City Orchard. The event will also feature food, vendors and live art.
Tickets can purchased online on the brewery's Instagram and Facebook pages.
