Officials with the Montrose pizza staple Love Buzz Pizza Pub announced May 13 the closure of its restaurant space on Westheimer Road, effective immediately.

In an Instagram post, officials thanked followers for the memories, attributing the closure to "extenuating circumstances."

The pizza joint was known for its creative pizzas, late night hours, 1990s-themed decor and ski-ball stalls, as well as its venue, a vintage hotel from the 1930s that was repurposed into a restaurant space.

Popular pizzas at Love Buzz often added creative twists to classic pizzas. On its website, officials said the best seller was the Kushmaster, made with fresh mozzarella, provolone, olive oil, a swirl of marinara, fresh basil and romano cheese.
