Mediterranean restaurant Ouzo Bay served its last meal April 30 at its River Oaks District location, 4444 Westheimer Road, Unit G130, Houston.

According to a May 1 announcement, the Atlas Restaurant Group concept that has called the River Oaks District home for the last four years will be completely reimagined into a new restaurant.

Baltimore-based Atlas Restaurant Group is also the brand behind River Oaks District's Loch Bar and Italian chophouse concept Marmo at Montrose Collective.

“We are constantly re-evaluating our restaurants to ensure they are resonating with guests in their respective markets,” said Alex Smith, Atlas Restaurant Group founder and president, in a statement. “Ouzo Bay had a great run, but we felt the time was right to bring something fresh and new to the River Oaks District, a premier mixed-use development that is increasingly becoming a dining destination in Houston. We hope to share details on the concept this summer, ahead of its winter debut.”

The new Atlas Restaurant Group concept could open in the winter, according to the press release.
