Alpha School, a private K-8 school, is opening its first campus in the Houston Heights area at the former Goddard School site, officials confirmed. The institution is known for bridging the gap between technology and academics through its AI-driven, student-centered approach to learning.
This expansion comes off the heels of Alpha’s campus in The Woodlands opening earlier this fall.
How it works
Alpha’s curriculum is rooted in three core commitments to families: that their kids will love school, they will learn two times more in just two hours and will build life skills for the future, officials said.
The institution’s 2-hour learning model combines adaptive AI technology with mastery-based learning to give each student a personalized classroom experience. This means that as pupils learn about subjects like mathematics, reading, science and history, they will only move forward to the next level once they fully understand the topic at hand.
