September market snapshot: Home sales down 17% year over year in Cy-Fair

See how Cy-Fair's residential housing market changed in September compared to the same time the previous year. (Courtesy Pexels)

The number of single-family homes sold in Cy-Fair dropped from 471 in September 2024 to 390 this September, according to data provided by Boutwell Properties.

All Cy-Fair area ZIP codes except 77070 saw a decrease in year-over-year home sales.

While home sales decreased by about 17%, the median price of homes sold increased in four of the seven Cy-Fair ZIP codes included in Community Impact’s coverage area.

Additionally, homes spent more time on the market overall this September compared to the same month last year. On average, homes sold the fastest in ZIP code 77064 and spent the most time on the market in ZIP code 77433.
