There are several events going on to celebrate Mardi Gras in the Greater Houston area. All events are subject to change, and this list is not comprehensive.

Mardi Gras Festival and Parade

The annual Mardi Gras Festival and Parade at Kingwood Town Center Park will kick off with live zydeco music, vendors, Cajun food and a gumbo cook-off followed by a community parade that starts at 2 p.m.Mardi Gras at LandShark Bar & Grill

Mardi Gras Bingo Night & Party


PJ’s Coffee, a Louisiana-based coffee brand, is hosting a family bingo night and party for Mardi Gras at its Sugar Land location. Bingo will include several prizes, and the party will feature live jazz musicians.

Mardi Gras Masquerade Ball

Megaton Brewery will hold a ball featuring a night of mystery, live music, beer and themed shopping. Attire is formal to semi-formal.Galveston Parade

The Krewe of Barkus Meoux Parade will include a costume contest. Winners will be able to participate as one of the lead elements in the parade.

Mardi Gras celebration and indoor parades

Celebrate Louisiana-style with Mardi Gras parades and meet musicians from The Woodlands Symphony Orchestra’s Brass Ensemble as they perform traditional New Orleans-style jazz with modern hip hop. The dance continues at the Mardi Gras Boogie Bash. Cap off the festivities with a slice of Montgomery Bakehouse king cake upon exiting.Mardi Gras at Senate Avenue

Fat Tuesday at Pier 6

The San Leon eatery near Dickinson will host a celebration “from the bayou to the bay” featuring a live DJ, a Bourbon Street backdrop on its patio bar, drink deals and a special menu from the chef, which includes king cake bread pudding. Attendees are encouraged to dress up with feathers, masks and glitter.

Mardi Gras at A Lil Taste of The South

This Katy restaurant will host a party featuring its Southern cuisine, live music and the spirit of Mardi Gras. The best-dressed guests in party gowns and tennis shoes will win prizes, and proceeds go to the education nonprofit Charlene Crossley International School.
