Cy-Fair Helping Hands has school supplies available to students and their families who attend the family fun day. Cypress Assistance Ministries is hosting a fun family back-to-school event for children before they return to school. Aug.13: Craft for a cause

AR Workshop in Cypress is hosting a fundraiser with a portion of proceeds benefiting Shield Bearer Counseling Centers. Guests can choose a wood, canvas or chunky knit project to create and bring their own wine or beer. Aug. 19: Learn self-defense

Level Up Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu is hosting a women’s self-defense workshop to help women protect themselves and their loved ones when danger is near. Aug. 23-Oct. 4: Participate in CERT Training

The Cy-Fair Fire Department is holding community emergency response training sessions at Lone Star College-CyFair’s Emergency Services Education Center for residents interested in serving their community.
