Caldwell Communities, a Houston-based developer, is building Mirella, the company’s first single-family build-to-rent community, President of Multifamily Development Todd Johnson said. The project, set to begin preleasing homes in August, will have 204 units, Johnson said.
Johnson said Mirella, located at 18131 Bluegrass Park Lane, Cypress, would officially open in the third or fourth quarter of this year.

- Private yards
- Clubhouse
- Resort-style pool
- Fitness center
- Outdoor barbecue pavilion
- Gated community
Looking ahead
Caldwell Communities is actively pursuing more opportunities in the build-to-rent market in the Houston metro area, Johnson said.
“We think that it is a product that is not going away anytime soon,” he said.
