Officials in Cy-Fair ISD reported 300 new confirmed COVID-19 cases on campuses from Feb. 1-7, including 67 staff members, 232 students and one other individual across the district.

This brings the district’s total number of cases reported since the start of the 2020-21 school year to 2,905. As of Feb. 8, CFISD has reported 373 active cases and 2,532 recoveries.

Cypress Woods High School was the campus with the highest number of new cases confirmed last week, with two employees and 18 students.

The Texas Education Agency requires public school districts throughout the state to submit a weekly report detailing the number of test-confirmed positive COVID-19 cases among students and employees who participate in any on-campus activity. This data does not include students learning remotely and may not include those who test positive while in quarantine if they were not on campus during their infectious period.

Weekly data is shown below, and campus-specific data can be found here.

CFISD students and staff members experiencing COVID-19 symptoms are eligible for free rapid testing services at the site where Windfern High School was formerly located, 12630 Windfern Road, Houston, Monday through Friday from 7 a.m.-4 p.m. A student ID or employee badge is required to receive one of these free tests, and students under age 18 must have parent or guardian consent.
