Spring Cypress Senior Living, a senior living facility located at 16306 Spring Cypress Road, Cypress, is undergoing a large site expansion that is targeted to open in late 2024 with construction being done in three phases.

“So this is going to be a new [senior living] model that Cypress has never seen. We are taking the more luxury upscale senior living and bringing that here. ... You usually see that more in California or in Florida,” Director of Sales and Marketing Kai Golden said. “They're going to have the options of all-inclusive living, which will give them a sports bar and a wine lounge. ... They'll have options like a formal dining room but also a grab-and-go bistro.”

The first expansion phase will include 19 cottages, which will be independent-living two-bedroom floor plans. The townhomes will add 24 two-bedroom dwellings in the second phase, and the final phase will include 95 apartments and a resort featuring multiple luxury amenities.

“They're going to have a full-service gym, and then those that are living inside of the cottages and townhomes ... are independent from the main independent-living building. They'll have an additional level of services and amenities provided to them,” Golden said.

Golden said since the amenities area will not be built until the final phase, the facility has partnered with several local businesses, such as nearby gym facilities and local restaurants, to accommodate residents until construction is complete.

The existing facility, which offers senior living and memory care, was completed in October 2018. The facility is owned by MedCore Partners of Dallas-Fort Worth and The National Realty Group of Houston. It is managed by Integral Senior Living, a California-based company.

The group has forged partnerships with a host of capital investment groups, designers and contractors to carry out the planning and construction of the new project, which aims to provide an upscale “concierge” level of care with more affluent seniors in mind, Golden said. Some of those contributing include Granite Harbor Advisors and Faulkner Design Group.

“So they can start in a cottage ... and [eventually] go down to the apartment, and then the hope is of course then to transition to assisted living or memory care,” Golden said. “So [it's a] continuum of care, allowing them to stay in one place. Now all of their friends, same directors, same people, which will help make that transition more smooth, rather than coming from ... home into a situation like this where it can be quite challenging to transition to.”

Office hours are daily from 7:30 a.m.-7 p.m.
