The Conroe ISD board of trustees approved five new principals and a handful of construction managers for several district renovation projects during a March 19 meeting.

Trustees approved construction companies for five renovation projects, including one voters approved as part of the 2023 bond.


The Oak Ridge High School Ninth-Grade Campus will receive a major renovation, which includes addressing critical infrastructure, such as chillers, boilers, freezers, air handlers, generators and electrical service equipment, as well as the replacement of interior floors and walls.

The district selected Satterfield and Pontikis Construction as the construction company in charge of the ninth-grade campus renovation project. Construction companies selected to manage other renovation projects include:
  • Snyder and Tough elementary schools, and Collins Intermediate School: Anslow-Bryant Construction
  • Armstrong, Austin, Birnham Woods and Broadway elementary schools: Teal Construction
  • Deretchin, Kaufman and Oak Ridge elementary schools: G.T.T. Construction
  • Milam, Houston and Runyan elementary schools: G.T.T. Construction

CISD trustees approved the campus mascot for Janet K. Barlett Elementary as the Bartlett Bobcats.
