Conroe ISD trustees approved the guaranteed maximum price amendments for two new schools related to the district's 2023 bond during a Feb. 20 board meeting.

The overview

The $1.9 billion bond voters approved in 2023 consisted of projects that include eight new campuses, three additions and five major renovations.

New campuses include an elementary school in The Woodlands High School feeder zone, an elementary school in the Highway 242 corridor, two Grand Oaks campuses, a ninth-grade campus in the Caney Creek High School feeder, a new Conroe-area high school, junior high and intermediate school.

The Woodlands High School feeder elementary project

The board also approved the construction managers at-risk for the addition and renovation projects included in the bond.


Other projects

Major renovations are scheduled for Creighton Elementary, San Jacinto Elementary, Oak Ridge High School's ninth-grade campus, Knox Junior High and The Woodlands High School. Additions are planned for Hailey Elementary, Ford Elementary and McCullough Junior High.

  • Pogue Construction Co. was selected for The Woodlands High School addition and the Oak Ridge High School Master Plan Phase II projects.
  • Satterfield & Pontikes Construction was selected for the Washington High School addition and Knox Junior High School renovation projects.
According to the board agenda, contracts for these projects have not yet been awarded.
