Montgomery, Willis ISDs suspend instruction in preparation of Hurricane Laura

Willis ISD announced Aug. 25 no instruction will be held Aug. 27-28 with remote instruction taking place Aug. 26 as the district prepares for Hurricane Laura. (Courtesy Willis ISD)

Montgomery and Willis ISDs announced Aug. 25 the districts will move to remote learning only for all staff and students Aug. 26 with no instruction held Aug. 27. Additionally, WISD will be completely closed Aug. 28 as well, the district announced.

MISD has also canceled all extracurricular activities for Aug. 26 and Aug. 27 as well as curbside meal service. A town hall meeting previously scheduled for Aug. 26 has also been canceled, MISD announced.
