Ashley Snell opened The Cuterie, a charcuterie and sandwich shop, in June 2023 alongside her husband Ryan Snell, Nathan Dove and Lauren Dove to bring a different concept of dining to the Conroe area.

“[Our boards] can be a total meal, a light lunch or an appetizer-type style for dinner,” Ashley Snell said.

What's special about it

Ashley Snell said the name The Cuterie is a play on charcuterie, and the business is known for its gourmet toasties or sliced toasted sourdough bread topped with olive oil and other toppings, four classic charcuterie boards and its customizable boards.

After over a year of operating, Ashley Snell said The Cuterie has evolved from a casual restaurant into a fine dining eatery. Customers have the option of ordering at the counter or can be seated and waited on.

The full-service restaurant offers six to eight hand-selected meats, and eight to 10 cheese varieties at a time in addition to seasonally offered items, sandwiches, salads and a kids menu.

What else?

Along with over 16 Texas wines to pair charcuterie boards with, The Cuterie offers $20 bottomless mimosas and a brunch menu which was added in mid-October.

Brunch menu items include chicken and waffles, chicken and gravy biscuits, omelets and the popular ultimate toasty sandwich made with fresh ciabatta bread, black forest ham, mozzarella cheese, a fried egg and bacon.

The Cuterie is also known for its catering and community events such as trivia and bingo nights.

“I definitely think people enjoy our vibe, and ladies just love to come in. We do a lot of showers and a lot of events,” Ashley Snell said.

During the month of February, The Cuterie will be offering a free classic charcuterie board with the purchase of a wine bottle for dine-in and to-go orders. In addition, Ashley Snell said The Cuterie team has plans to expand with a second location by the end of the year.
