Conroe ISD held its topping-out ceremony Dec. 10 for its new Timber Mill High School, located at 2700 N. Loop 336 E. in Conroe.
The gist
The district celebrated a construction milestone as the final beam was lifted and placed on top of the new high school, which is scheduled to open in August 2027. The celebration also included putting the flag on top of the school, which will hang until construction is completed and will be the school flag.
Timber Mill High School will create a new feeder zone with students from Conroe and Caney Creek high schools. The school is one of the projects included in the $1.8 billion bond package approved by voters in 2023.
Attendees included the board of trustees members, including President Misty Odenweller, and Montgomery County Judge Mark Keough.
