Krawfish Kai, located on Liberty Street, is now open in Montgomery, co-owner Joe Dupree confirmed via email.

“We had a great turnout, and the support from the community was humbling,” Dupree said about opening day. “We really appreciate everyone that came out and cannot express enough how proud we are of our staff for stepping up and handling everything.”

Dupree, who co-owns the restaurant with Ryan Routt, said Krawfish Kai is a full-service restaurant specializing in Cajun and Creole cuisine.

“We offer a wide variety of authentic dishes, such as chicken and sausage gumbo, crawfish etouffee, Cajun pasta, po'boys, fried seafood platters and of course some of the best boiled seafood around,” Dupree said. “Our crawfish are a must-try. They are boiled Louisiana-style and soaked in our special seasoning, ensuring that they are as flavorful as possible.”

Dupree also said the restaurant features a variety of draft and bottled beer as well as craft frozen cocktails.

“When customers visit Krawfish Kai, they should expect a family-friendly, inviting environment with great folks and great food,” Dupree said. “We pride ourselves on customer service and quality and want to make sure that everyone’s experience is a memorable one.”
