After a decade of home sales in the area, Johnson Development has begun to release its final homesites to builders at Grand Central Park.

The details

As previously reported by Community Impact, Grand Central Park is a 2,046-acre community in Conroe known for its wooded setting and access to lakes and natural hiking trails.

Johnson Development first acquired the community in 2013, with a goal to combine high-quality real estate while preserving the area's forestry.

The final 159 lots, ranging from 45 feet to 60 feet wide were sold off to a variety of builders, including:


-David Weekley Homes

-Drees Custom Homes

-Highland Homes

-Perry Homes


-Westin Homes

In a Jan. 15 news release from Johnson Development. Bob Douglas, senior vice president and general manager of Grand Central Park, expresses his thankfulness for the opportunity to transform and elevate the area’s natural beauty.

“We’ve had an amazing run in Grand Central Park, realizing our vision to create a vibrant community that has a unique blend of abundant natural elements and urban conveniences,” Douglas said in the news release.


Also of note

As it stands, Grand Central Park’s community stands at about 4,000 people. Several building companies offer a wide range of houses from $350,000 to $1 million. There are around 250 homes currently left unsold in the community.
