Meritage Homes anticipates adding 156 homes at Stillwater, an existing master-planned community near I-45 and Guinn Road, the home builder announced in a Sept. 3 release. The first homes will be available for sale this fall.

Meritage Homes acquired land for the 156 home sites, which will feature energy-efficient homes with prices beginning around $250,000, according to the release, and which will range in size form 1,666 square feet to 2,991 square feet. Prospective buyers can choose from nine one- and two-story open concept floor plans, including plans with five bedrooms, four bathrooms and island kitchens. Home options also include additional spaces, such as studies, game rooms and flex rooms, according to the release.

Homebuyers can also select from designer-curated interior finish collections to simplify the design process, and every home includes an automated suite with smart door locks, USB outlets, smart garage door and advanced thermostats as well as energy-saving features.

The new neighborhood is zoned to Conroe ISD, including The Woodlands High School, and is nestled next to the 1,750-acre W.G. Jones State Forest.

Stillwater also includes seven lakes, hike-and-bike trails, water features and bridges, according to the release.
