On Dec. 18, the Howard Hughes Corporation announced via a news release that Ravenna Homes and Westin Homes are the first two homebuilders for the corporation's 2,000-acre master-planned community under development in Conroe, The Woodlands Hills.
Located near the intersection of FM 830 and I-45, The Woodlands Hills will feature 112 acres of open space, more than 20 neighborhood parks connected by hiking and bike trails and the 17-acre Village Park. It will also offer an event hall, fitness center, a resort-style pool with a beach entry and a lazy river, according to a release from the company.
According to the release, Ravenna Homes will offer a collection of single-family homes on 65-foot homesites, while Westin Homes will feature two new home series on 65-foot and 75-foot homesites in The Woodlands Hills.
Health Melton, vice president of master-planned communities, welcomed the homebuilders via a statement in the release.
"Both Ravenna and Westin have an excellent homebuilding background and will offer the high quality standards and design principles that have made The Woodlands and Bridgeland two of the most successful master-planned communities in Texas and the nation,” Melton said.
The release also stated that additional homebuilders will be announced before the end of December. A grand opening celebration for the community is scheduled for spring 2018, and it will showcase the first single-family model homes.
The Woodlands Hills will bring more than 4,500 residencies to the area upon its buildout in the next 10-15 years, Melton said at the development's groundbreaking on Nov. 15.
