The city of Conroe is waiving late charges to water and sewer bills to help alleviate some financial burden from residents during coronavirus, according to a May 1 new release from Mayor Toby Powell's office.

"The coronavirus pandemic has resulted in many in our community struggling to pay bills on time, and the mayor believes waiving the late fees is just another way we can help citizens recover," the release stated.
