Early voting for League City City Council runoff election begins Dec. 10

Four candidates who ran for League City City Council won their seats on Election Day, but one race will be determined during a Dec. 18 runoff election.

Chad Tressler will face Chris Gross for Position 6 on the council. On Election Day, Tressler won about 47 percent of the vote, and Gross won about 33 percent.

A third candidate, Silvio Vincenzo, won about 20 percent. A runoff election is required between the top two candidates because no one received 50 percent or more of the votes.

Early voting will run from 7 a.m.-7 p.m. Dec. 10-14 at the Johnnie Arolfo Civic Center Civic, 400 W. Walker St. Polls will be open from 7 a.m.-7 p.m. on Dec. 18 at the following locations:

  • Johnnie Arolfo Civic Center
  • Hometown Heroes Park, 2105 Dickinson Ave.
  • Regal Estates, 500 Enterprise Ave.
  • Creekside Intermediate, 4320 W. Main St.
