Representative Mike Schofield opened his district office at the Houston Community College West Campus on Saturday, March 21.

A grand opening and open house for District 132 State Representative Mike Schofield's Katy-area office was held Saturday, March 21. The office is located at 1550 Foxlake Drive, within the Houston Community College West Campus.

Schofield said that having an office near Katy will make it easier for him to meet with residents from Katy and Cypress.

"During the campaign I was knocking on people's doors, I knocked on 7,880 doors. It's difficult to get to everyone's house. [Having an office] is much easier," he said. "This gives people the opportunity to reach out to us whenever they want to about any issue they want."

During the legislative session, district director Sara Singleton and an intern will staff the office on weekdays, but Schofield said he will make time to meet with Katy residents as his schedule allows.

"I have to work [in Austin] for a living, but I'll be here a lot of nights and weekends and whatever days during the week I can get over here," Schofield said.
