Bellaire Town Square will be converted into a winter wonderland with lights, music and snow as the city of Bellaire hosts its annual Holiday in the Park event Dec. 1.

The event, hosted by the the Bellaire Parks, Recreation & Facilities Department, will take place from 6-8:30 p.m. Dec. 1 at 7708 S. Rice Ave., Bellaire, behind the City Hall building.

The event will feature free activities, a tree lighting, pony rides, a petting zoo, crafts, snow slides and holiday music from the Bellaire High School Mighty Cardinal Band, according to information provided by the city. Santa Claus will also make an appearance at the park's gazebo, where he will take wishes from children.

Guests can purchase food from local restaurants and civic groups that will be on-site.
