Following the city of Houston’s purchase of Shell-owned property near Willow Waterhole Greenway, officials tasked with developing a master plan for the land are hosting a series of open houses to gather public input Feb. 12.

Brays Oaks Management District—one of 53 management districts in the Greater Houston area that encourages economic development—has already made plans for the construction of the Levitt Pavilion, a performance and arts venue for the public.

Designs for the rest of the land have been tasked to Lionheart Places—a planning, design and landscaping architecture firm—which will lead the open houses, according to a Brays Oaks Management District press release.

Due to the infrastructure left behind by Shell, access to the area will be limited, officials said. Sessions will be held at 10 a.m., 11:30a.m., 1 p.m. and 2:30 p.m. along the Dryad Driveway by the Schwartz Gazebo.

Attendees are encouraged to sign up and carpool to the event.
