Harris County Public Health has reported 15 positive cases of COVID-19 in Bellaire, with 12 cases in West University Place and two in Southside Place of 3,629 total in Harris County, according to April 12 data shared by the county’s health agency.

The new data comes as Harris County began reporting COVID-19 case numbers by zip code and city late last week, a move away from the county’s previous quadrant-based system that had mirrored the county’s four precincts.

According to 2018 U.S. Census population estimates, the populations of Bellaire, West University Place, and Southside Place are 18,966, 15,676, and 1,881, respectively.
