Former midtown Houston beer hall Holman Draft Hall will be reimagined as Solarium in early 2025, according to an update from representatives with hospitality company The Kirby Group.

Solarium will blend athletics, dining and social engagement, according to Rex Hospitality's website, the company partnering with The Kirby Group to create this new concept.

The details

Originally set to reopen in August 2024, the Solarium concept will transform the once industrial-style bar into a 9,000-square-foot restaurant, lounge and bar, per a Dec. 23 email from marketing officials.

In addition, Solarium will feature four pickleball courts, two padel courts and five private lounge-like court bays with waiter service. Padel is a racket sport of Mexican origin, typically played in doubles on an enclosed court. It's described as a mixture between tennis and squash.
