A dog walking service out of Austin has brought an outpost to Houston and will celebrate with a grand opening party April 13.

The details

Though Let's Walk Houston soft launched its online-based business back in September, owner Allie Landis said the company will take to DeX Treats, or Doggie Express bakery, in April to commemorate the business's arrival. The bakery is located at 1402 W. 34th St., Houston.

The insured and bonded pet care company offers one-on-one dog walking, with walk notifications that include the GPS route, potty activity, and start and end times. Staff will also provide feeding, water refresh and cleaning on walks if necessary.

According to Landis, Let's Walk Houston services the following Houston areas:
  • The Heights
  • Midtown
  • Montrose
  • Rice Military
  • Rice University
  • River Oaks
What else?

In addition to dog walking, Let's Walk Houston offers care specifically for puppies, as well as vacation care—where staff either stay in a customer's home while they're away or do daily visits to exercise, feed, medicate and clean up after pets. This service also includes detailed email reports with daily updates and photos.
