The Gilmore Elementary School-Claremont Connector trail project recently moved closer to completion after League City City Council awarded a new construction contract on May 28.

The gist

The total construction budget for the project will be $1 million, according to agenda documents.

The project will build a concrete trail from the existing Claremont Connector trail to the nearby pedestrian bridge and beyond to Gilmore Elementary School and a pedestrian bridge, according to agenda documents. The project supports the city’s goal of further connecting its existing trail system.
