Free tax preparation assistance for qualifying individuals is available from several community and nonprofit groups in the Greater Houston area this spring. Those interested in receiving assistance should verify with the individual locations what documents and identification are needed, and whether there are qualification requirements for assistance. Not all types of tax returns can be filed using free tax assistance services.
