The city of League City from 5-8 p.m. on Sept. 3 will hold a ribbon cutting and open house for its new League City Community Center at 400 S. Kansas Ave., League City.
The city has converted the old, 30,000-square-foot League City School Building, built in 1938, into a facility that can host community events, including camps.
The open house event will include tours; memory sharing, including yearbooks from the 1930s and ‘40s; displayed photos and artifacts from the city’s first schools; dancing; and classic cars.
