INEOS expanding in Seabrook

Chemical company INEOS plans in the next few months to expand into Seabrook land the city is in the process of unannexing. The deal would allow INEOS to operate by paying a fee based on its assessed value in lieu of property taxes. The expansion will allow the company to increase operations. INEOS is a global manufacturer of petrochemicals, specifically in the oil and gas industry. Battleship Texas Foundation given control of Battleship Texas; ship will soon leave La Porte for repairs

As of Aug. 1, the Texas Parks & Wildlife Department has transferred operational control of the historic Battleship Texas in La Porte to the nonprofit Battleship Texas Foundation under a 99-year lease, according to a Battleship Texas Foundation press release.
