League City City Council will consider several infrastructure and development initiatives, including transportation, utility repairs and wastewater infrastructure upgrades at its next meeting.

League City City Council will vote on awarding bids for several infrastructure projects at its April 22 meeting, including several outlined in the city’s Capital Improvement Plan.

City officials will consider awarding a $1.4 million bid to Houston-based Teamwork Construction Services Inc. to construct a right-turn lane along League City Parkway, from Calder Road to Butler Road, according to agenda documents.

The new turn lane will improve eastbound traffic flow and reduce congestion along the corridor. The lane will connect with a Texas Department of Transportation turn lane and provide a continuous path from Hobbs Road to I-45, according to agenda documents.


City officials will also discuss awarding a $119,000 project to Dickinson-based Branch Construction Group for emergency repairs to a 12-inch water line bridge crossing on Enterprise Avenue, according to agenda documents.

City officials will also discuss awarding a $180,000 bid to Waco-based Oller Engineering, Inc. for the design portion of rehabilitating Landing Lift Station, according to agenda documents.

Officials will also discuss awarding a $464,000 contract to Oller Engineering for design, bid and construction services for environmental services for 28 acres of parkland at the Kilgore-Davis Tract trail, located at the end of Kansas Avenue along Clear Creek.


This undeveloped area is a total of 28.47 acres in size. When completed, this project will connect the Kilgore kayak launch site to Heritage Park.
