Several transportation projects in League City, including intersection improvements to FM 518 at Bay Area Boulevard, could soon receive new funding.

League City City Council will consider approving several transportation projects at its Feb. 25 meeting, including intersection improvements on FM 518 and naming the new road connecting Ervin Street and Muldoon Parkway.

City officials will consider awarding $150,000 to EHRA Engineering for design, bid and construction services for intersection improvements at Bay Area Boulevard and FM 518, according to agenda documents.

Separately, City Council will consider naming the roadway that will connect Ervin Street and Muldoon Parkway as Longfellow Drive. In the 2024 Master Mobility Plan, the roadway was initially slated to be named Emerson Drive, but council member Andy Mann requested it be renamed to Longfellow Drive at City Council’s Jan. 28 meeting.




What else?

City Council will also consider renaming Bay Colony Park to Pat Hallisey Park, according to agenda documents.
