The new data represents a 5-year estimate of the population across the country from 2019 to 2023, according to the Census website. This data compares with the 2018 survey results, which studied the country from 2014 to 2018.

In the new 2023 data, League City grew from around 101,000 people to nearly 115,000, which represents a nearly 14% increase, according to the survey results.

However, the percentage of people who identified as white in some capacity, including in combination with another race, remained just shy of 83% across both five-year studies, according to the data.

One of the largest demographic shifts came from people who identified themselves as two or more races, making up around 2,800 people, or 2.8%, in the 2018 results to more than 14,000, or 12.3%, in 2023.
