The League City Police Department is requesting approval to submit a grant application seeking $119,671 through the Body-Worn Camera Grant Program, which would cover 75% of the department’s current body-worn camera costs, according to agenda documents.
The awarded funds could be spent on body-worn cameras, unlimited cloud storage for captured videos, auto-tagging, and associated licenses required to utilize and manage the evidence collected through these cameras, according to agenda documents.

League City Police Department would be able to use the funds for its current body-worn camera contract for fiscal year 2024-25.
