There are several Turkey Trots taking place Thanksgiving day in the Greater Houston area. Here are a few. This list is not comprehensive.

9th Annual Turkey Trot

Join the Houston Striders in a free turkey trot including a 5K single-loop route and a 10K double-loop route at Memorial Park. Attendees are encouraged to wear their best Thanksgiving costumes.Coles Crossing Turkey Trot

The Coles Crossing Turkey Trot is an annual tradition that invites runners and walkers of all ages to participate in a 5K race. The first 600 finishers will receive a commemorative medal to celebrate their achievement.Houston Methodist Turkey Trot

The Houston Methodist Turkey Trot will include multiple races including a 10K, a 5K and a virtual run/walk as well as a kids’ run for ages 12 and under.L3 Turkey Day 5K & Kids Wishbone 1K


Participate in the 10th annual Thanksgiving morning L3 Turkey Day 5K & Kids Wishbone 1K at Town Center Park to support finding a cure for pediatric cancer.Pearland Turkey Trot

The Pearland Turkey Trot will include a 6-mile, 4-mile and 1-mile race.Saint Arnold Brewing Company

Participate in a 5K, 10K or a 1-mile family walk at the Saint Arnold Brewing Company north of Downtown Houston.

Turkey Run & Thanksgiving Feast

Kinsmen Lutheran Church will host a 5K and 10K run/walk followed by a Thanksgiving feast open to the community.

YMCA Run thru the Woods


The annual Thanksgiving run supports local nonprofits to strengthen The Woodlands, Spring and Oak Ridge North communities. The event includes a 3-mile run, 5-mile run, 3-mile walk and 1-mile kids race at The Cynthia Woods Mitchell Pavilion.
