What to know
Hudspeth described what voters should expect today on Election Day in terms of voting locations and what they can take into the polling place. There are more than 70 locations open until 7 p.m., but voters who are in line as of 7 p.m. will be allowed to vote.
“Now we're probably well over 90,000 individuals who voted here in Harris County [with] 700 locations to vote at. If there's a line, go find the next nearest location,” Hudspeth said.
When asked to comment on the Department of Justice's plan to monitor Harris County polls, Hudspeth said: “My complete focus is on running this election together and making sure that we are supporting the voters and election judges. Those entities will continue to fight it out, and they will focus on the sound bite there, but I am not getting involved in it.”
